We are pleased to announce the completion of our first Victoria Island Report for 2018. We evaluated three LTE service providers and one 3G Service Provider. The LTE service providers evaluated are MTN, Globacom and 9Mobile. Airtel provides only 3G service in the area evaluated. Although Airtel has not been included in the ranking, we have its performance data along the evaluated route.
We collected the data on the 21st of February 2018 between the hour of 11am and 6pm. We performed ping test and continuous ftp upload and download of files along the routes. We use commercial SIMs for all NIWBQR reports. As such, the findings are true reflections of customer experiences in the networks.

Poor RF deployment presents a considerable challenge to delivering consistently reliable internet connections. Taking steps to resolve performance issues identified in NIWBQR allows the service provider to increase its customer loyalty nationwide, as in many cases, the RF deployment issues identified even in a small evaluated route are replicated in a substantial part of the network..
NIWBQR provides service providers an opportunity to learn about the quality of their broadband LTE deployments no matter who performed pre-deployment RF Optimization. This provides opportunities for the service providers to take active measures to improve the quality of the deployments before costly negative customer perception occur. Such improvement can translate to substantial economic benefit for the service providers.
